I was born in Japan and lived in the UK since the age of 9. Without family close by, I lived an unconventional life which shaped me into who I am today.
I became more observant, sensitive and malleable - the things you have to be when you live in between two very different cultures and languages. After 3/4 of my life being spent in the UK, here I still am, now with my own small family, making my art, building my life.

As you will be able to see in some of my work, I care deeply about the environment and how we are destroying our own habitat. It’s such a difficult problem to tackle as individuals especially when our society is cut out to be capitalistic and we’re forever encouraged to opt for the “newer” and “better” versions of everything.
So in my small way, I aim to highlight the beautiful world we are crippling in order to preserve it and hope that we can make a difference through re-engagement and re-assessment of our own ideas and cultures toward consumerism.
